Many Minnesotans travel to Wisconsin Dells for summer fun, swimming and camping. However, the Dells can be a fantastic winter vacation as well. With an abundance of indoor water parks, museums, shopping centers and resorts that are open year-round, a quick three-day weekend will prove to be a great getaway. Check into any of the resorts and you will have access to a ton of indoor activities for the family. Hop in your mini-van and enjoy a long weekend by visiting these great places in Wisconsin Dells.

Kalahari Resort is the perfect place to stay, especially if you have kids in tow. With a large indoor waterpark, you can enjoy swimming and splashing no matter what the weather is. Kalahari also offers a wave pool, whirlpool, spa, salon and indoor theme park for those dry days. Get access to the water park with room reservations and find discounts on the theme park as well. Check out the indoor golf course to brush up on your game in the off-season. Ripley’s Museum may not be the most cultural or educational of museums, but it is certainly among the most fun. Located in the heart of downtown, Ripley’s is a museum of the strange that doubles as an interactive fun house. Check out all eight galleries of videos, exhibits and unusual truths. Hang out with unusual statues and replicas of real people, including the weird lizard man. The museum is constantly changing so it can be visited annually for new surprises.
