Mpls School Board Votes To Keep North High Open

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minneapolis School Board voted Tuesday night to allow North High School to remain open, but under one condition.

District spokesman Stan Alleyne says the school has to get 125 ninth-grade students for the incoming class by March 31, 2011.

An alumni group has been working with the school to find ways to keep the school open. They will continue to work with Minneapolis Schools on building a new North Program.
