Pawlenty Signs Off On Last WCCO Radio Show

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty's unfettered hour of weekly radio is now a thing of the past.

Pawlenty on Friday hosted his last radio show on WCCO-AM and its affiliates across the state. The two-term Republican is due to leave office in January and he's weighing a run for president.

The final hour had a mix of the highlights and lowlights that colored "Good Morning Minnesota" for the past eight years. He led off with a chat with former first lady Laura Bush. He worked in some laughs with fitness buff Richard Simmons. And Pawlenty took some listner calls, including one chiding him for his time in office.

Pawlenty says he'll miss the program he used to talk issues and sometimes cut loose.
