MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Actor Vince Vaughn is the latest Minnesota-born celebrity to be honored with a star on Minnesota's Walk of Fame.
Vaughn was born in Minneapolis and grew up in Lake Forest, Ill. His big breakthrough in the movies was "Swingers" in 1996, followed by starring roles in "Wedding Crashers" and "The Break-Up."
Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak will present Vaughn with his star during Vaughn's Comedy Road Show Saturday night at the State Theatre in downtown Minneapolis.
Honorees get a sidewalk plaque in front of the State Theatre on Hennepin Avenue. Other Minnesota celebrities who've been honored include singer Bob Dylan and actresses Marion Ross, Tippi Hedren and Loni Anderson.
