Class 2A Championship: Caledonia 28, Triton 7

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Junior Connor McCormick ran for 153 yards and two touchdowns and Caledonia's stout defense held Triton to 152 total yards as the Warriors beat the Cobras 28-7 in the Class 2A state championship game Friday at the Metrodome.

Caledonia, which entered the Prep Bowl with six shutouts this season, allowed just 20 points in its three state tournament games to win the school's third state title. Senior Josh Gran added 118 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Warriors (14-0), who won back-to-back championships in 2007 and 2008.

Senior Jason Jennings led Triton (13-1) with 83 rushing yards and a touchdown.
