Minn. Man Pleads Guilty To Possessing Child Pornography
ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- A 28-year-old St. Joseph man pleaded guilty in federal court in St. Paul to possessing more than 600 images and videos of child pornography, announced the United States Attorney's Office on Tuesday.
Steven Allen Braun, who was indicted on Sept. 21, 2010, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography, which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison.
In his plea agreement, Braun admitted that he had "visual depictions of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct" on his computer, which had been sent via the Internet.
Police found the pornographic images when they executed a search warrant of his home on Oct. 28, 2008.
Braun will be sentencing in a future hearing, which is yet to be scheduled.
