Minnesota's Devoe Joseph Out Against Indiana

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Minnesota guard Devoe Joseph has been suspended for the second time this season and will not play against Indiana on Tuesday night.

Coach Tubby Smith says Joseph "is working on some things that he needs to work on" and could be out for longer than just one game. Joseph was suspended the first six games of the season for a violation of team rules and academic issues.

Joseph is averaging 11.3 points and 3.5 assists for the Golden Gophers. Minnesota lost its first two Big Ten games, at Wisconsin and Michigan State, last week to fall out of the Top 25.

Smith says he's disappointed in Joseph but confident the team can get by without him.
