Tolliver Returns To T-Wolves Lineup

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minnesota Timberwolves have activated forward Anthony Tolliver after a 14-game absence due to a sprained right knee.

The valuable reserve has not played in a game since Dec. 3, when he sprained the MCL in his knee at San Antonio. Tolliver did not require surgery to repair the injury.

Coach Kurt Rambis said before the game against Portland on Friday night that the Timberwolves have missed Tolliver's energy, especially on the defensive end. He had four blocks in the season opener against Sacramento and is a capable shooter from the perimeter as well.

Tolliver is averaging 6.4 points and 4.1 rebounds in his first season in Minnesota.
