Man Admits To Skipping Federal Prison Sentencing

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Fridley, Minn. man has pleaded guilty to skipping out on a federal prison sentence.

Matthew Eric Linngren, 38, was convicted on charges of distributing child pornography last year. He was to report to federal prison last September to serve a 180-day term.

Linngren failed to report and was arrested weeks later in Los Angeles County in California on auto theft charges. He was indicted on new charges in November.

On Thursday, he pleaded guilty to failing to report to federal officials. He faces a potential 10 years in prison now.

His sentencing has not yet been scheduled.
