Wis. Woman Charged In Fatal Minn. Crash

OLIVIA, Minn. (AP) -- A 20-year-old Wisconsin woman is facing six felonies for a fatal crash that killed one and injured seven in Fairfax.

See Xiong Moua, of Eau Claire, was charged with criminal vehicular homicide or operation for the July 30 crash that killed 39-year-old Jason Petty, of Seaforth, and injured seven of her passengers.

According to the court and State Patrol records, Moua failed to slow or stop the van she was driving at a stop sign, striking Petty's car. His car was then struck by an oncoming semi and cut into two.

The charges were filed Thursday.

The West Central Tribune reports that one of the seven injured was Moua's mother who suffered a traumatic brain injury and a broken right tibia.
