Weather Blog: The 'January Thaw' Coming
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A January thaw is loosely defined as back to back days with a high of 32 degrees or warmer. We will come close to that with only a handful of January days to go.
Expect highs to nudge up into the low 30s Thursday and Friday. We will be pinned under the clouds with a chance of snow each day.
The best chance of accumulating snow will be in Wisconsin where a few inches could fall.
Expect a dusting up to an inch here in the metro by the time the snow stops late Friday.
It will get breezy Friday afternoon into Saturday and temps will slowly drop bottoming out Sunday and Monday with highs around 12 and lows just below zero.
