Ex-Hospital CEO Pleads Guilty To Engaging In Prostitution

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The former CEO of a Twin Cities hospital has pleaded guilty after he was arrested last year in an undercover prostitution sting.

David Cress, the former president and CEO of North Memorial Medical Center, pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of engaging in prostitution. Cress originally pleaded not guilty to the charge in October 2010.

Hennepin County District Judge Robert Blaeser sentenced Cress to one year of probation and a $350 fine. 

Cress was arrested in September 2010 after Richfield Police said he tried to pick up a prostitute.

Shortly after the arrest, North Memorial named Larry Taylor as chief executive officer and cut ties with Cress.
