MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The IRS office in downtown Minneapolis will be open two Saturdays during the income tax filing season to help taxpayers who may not be able to visit an IRS office during weekday business hours.

The office at 250 Marquette Avenue will offer assistance Saturday, Feb. 26 and Saturday, March 26, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

During the two Saturday open houses, the IRS will provide free assistance to taxpayers who need help with their tax returns — including limited help preparing tax forms — on a first-come, first-served basis.

Nationwide, over 35,000 taxpayers attended similar open house events last year.
