Weather Blog: More Snow

By Chris Shaffer, WCCO-TV

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Most of the snow from Wednesday's storm system will miss the Twin Cities to the southeast.

If you live in Red Wing, Hastings, Winona or Rochester, expect to see more than the metro area.

For the Twin Cities, expect 1 to 2 inches of wet snow.

Farther southeast, there is 2 to 4 inches expected with higher amounts from extreme southeast Minnesota (Houston County) into Wisconsin.

It will be enough snow to shovel, but you may be able to give the snow blower a break. Do know that it will be a heavier, wet snow with milder temps in the 30s.

We catch a break with mid-30s and possible sunshine Thursday before another storm system passes Friday. That one will primarily hit northern Minnesota and will probably start of as rain with milder air in place.
