Weather Blog: Finally Warming Up

By Chris Shaffer, WCCO-TV

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It will be nice to have a dry day Thursday with some sunshine and temps near average (38 degrees these days in the Twin Cities).

Mild air surges our way Friday ahead of an advancing storm system in southern Canada. It will be breezy Friday with highs pushing up into the 40s.

The frontal passage late Friday could trigger some rain showers (that's right, rain) before it changes over to a wet snow overnight. Accumulation should be limited to northern Minnesota.

Do expect a very strong wind from the northwest lasting into the early part of Saturday.

It will be cooler this weekend with highs in the low to mid 30s.
