Curiocity: Does Minneapolis 'Have Talent'?

By Sara Boyd, WCCO

Get ready, Minneapolis. Your 15 minutes of fame is approaching.

"America's Got Talent," the show that searches for the nation's hidden talents, will be taping live at the Orpheum Theatre this week. That means, of course, both the talented and the train wrecks will be coming out of the woodwork to show America what they've got.

Tickets are free to watch the performances, with tapings at 1 and 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. However, seats only remain for the matinee performances.

All the performers who will take the stage have been pre-selected, so if you're looking to show off your talent -- you'll have to wait til next season. Auditions took place in Minneapolis in January and the show says all of its chosen acts have been contacted.

Still, there's a good chance for some intended -- and I'm sure, unintended -- entertainment.

Judges Howie Mandel, Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan will be present, plus host Nick Cannon.
