Search Planned For Body Of Slain N.D. Researcher

COOPERSTOWN, N.D. (AP) -- Authorities trying to find the body of a slain North Dakota State University researcher say they've talked about a possible search, but haven't set a date.

Griggs County Sheriff Bob Hook says officials are waiting for the weather to improve before making plans to search for Kurt Johnson's body.

Johnson was reported missing after leaving a Cooperstown bar last New Year's Eve. Authorities say his severed head was found in the Cooperstown home of Daniel Wacht, but the rest of his body was not found.

Wacht is being held without bail in Jamestown on a murder charge.
