College Student Found Dead At UW-River Falls

RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WCCO) -- A female student was found dead Thursday morning on the University of Wisconsin-River Falls campus.

The university said a fellow student found the woman dead in her dorm room at Prucha Hall. There is no word yet on how she died.

Authorities aren't releasing her name or age or hometown at this time. Grief counselors are on campus and in the dorms to help other students.

The city's police chief said there is no threat to the public, but would not say if the woman's death is suspicious.

This is the third death of a college student and Minnesota and Wisconsin in the past week. Two women were also found dead in Winona.
