MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — We shot up to 76 degrees on Sunday. We will be near 70 for a high on Tuesday. Yet, I’m talking about a chance of snow.

Do know that we average 3.1 inches of snow in April. We had the fifth snowiest winter on record, and some spring snow could push us to the top four.

Here is the deal. The models are indicating cold enough air for snow and a storm system, bringing plenty of moisture our way Thursday night into Friday.

A few weather models are saying we could see 7 to 9 inches of snow while others keep the entire system south of us.

It is still early in the game, so enjoy the sunshine and high of 68 for your Tuesday.

Bring it on. Summers are too darn hot so I’d like the cool weather to stick around as long as possible. For those who don’t like the cold weather, think of it this way: It’s free air-conditioning!
