Stillwater Lift Bridge To Reopen Monday

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation will reopen the Stillwater Lift Bridge at 3 p.m. Monday.

The bridge, which spans the St. Croix River, has been closed since April 8, due to the rising flood waters.

The water, which approached the bridge deck, threatened electrical lift motors underneath the deck, according to MnDOT.

They say approximately 18,000 motorists use the bridge daily.
