Vikings Draft WR Burton In 7th Round
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -- The Minnesota Vikings have selected West Texas A&M receiver Stephen Burton in the seventh round of the NFL draft.
Burton had more than 1,000 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns last season.
It's been a busy day for the Vikings. They had four sixth-round picks after trading their second fifth-rounder to Cleveland. They used them on Arkansas offensive lineman DeMarcus Love, South Florida defensive back Mistral Raymond, Slippery Rock offensive lineman Brandon Fusco and Ohio State linebacker Ross Homan.
They drafted Arizona defensive end D'Aundre Reed earlier in the seventh round.
The Vikings started Saturday by taking Iowa defensive tackle Christian Ballard in the fourth round and took Utah cornerback Brandon Burton in the fifth round before trading their second fifth-round pick to Cleveland.
