Sheriff: Man Ran In Circles, 'Shadowboxed' Lamppost

CHANHASSEN, Minn. (WCCO) -- A man was observed acting in a bizarre manner and disturbing the peace in Chanhassen, Minn. Thursday evening.

According to the Carver County Sheriff's Office, the man was seen on the corner of Highways 41 and 5 at about 10 p.m., yelling and running around in circles.

The person calling police said the man, estimated to be between 18 and 25 years old, was also "shadowboxing" a lamppost.

When confronted, the man ran away from the scene. Sheriff's deputies tried to find the man using a K-9 team and a State Patrol helicopter, but were unable to locate the suspect.

It wasn't the last time authorities were called to that area overnight. A few hours later a man believe to be intoxicated led police on a chase that ended in Hazeltine National Golf Club.
