Man Who Killed 'U' Student In Accident To Be Sentenced
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The man who pleaded guilty to hitting and killing a former U of M student will be sentenced on Monday.
John Peterson, 23, pleaded guilty to criminal vehicular homicide on March 15, 2011.
Peterson hit and killed Kandyce Stoffel back in October 2010. She was walking with a group of people near 12th Ave. and 4th St. after the bars closed.
Police said he had been drinking and was more than twice the legal limit at the time of the crash.
