Despite Lottery Loss, Kahn Says Wolves Not Jinxed

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Timberwolves President David Kahn won't say his team is jinxed -- even though Minnesota's' lottery losing streak continues.

The Wolves, with their league-worst 17-65 record, had a 25 percent chance of winning the top spot in Tuesday's draft lottery. But Minnesota will select second in next month's NBA draft.

Kahn says the Wolves had a 75 percent chance of moving back as many as three spots, and they moved back one. So he says, "It is what it is."

Even though the draft is June 23, Kahn says it's too early to speculate on who the Wolves might draft. But he acknowledges the team has "a lot of flexibility."

The Timberwolves are 0 for 14 in the lottery and dropped for the eighth time. The Cleveland Cavaliers won the lottery.
