Woman, Children Escape Belgrade House Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Firefighters believe hot grease on a stove caused a fire that destroyed a home near Belgrade, Minn. Thursday.

Crews were called to the home at 41463 Eastbend Road in Crow Wing Township around 3:47 p.m.

They arrived and found the home fully engulfed.

A 20-year-old woman, a 2-year-old child and 7-month-old baby were in the house at the time. All of them were able to get out of the house safely.

The owners of the home weren't there at the time.

The Red Cross is helping the family.
