WHEN did this happen? I read the whole article and still don’t know WHEN this happened. Whatever happened to reporting Who? What? Where? WHEN!!!!!!!!!!

    1. Dave says:

Sorry, Linda, but so-called journalism schools apparently don’t teach that any more. I believe it was called the lead paragraph. I think it ended about the time that Geraldo Rivera was declared a journalist. Nowadays you just write whatever comes to mind in no particular order. Where’s Lou Grant when we need him?

    2. Dave says:

The second paragraph on KARE-11’s website:

“According to the alert, Lucas Christopher Merill of Onamia was abducted at gunpoint by a group of males around 1:15 p.m. Saturday. Merill was last seen near 916 NW 20th Street in Grand Rapids. “

      1. Linda says:

Thanks Dave! I switched over to KARE-11 right after I posted and did in fact find the information I was looking for. Thanks again!!

  2. Clarence says:

I agree with you Linda, but that’s the low quality reporting you get from CBS!!

  3. DJAbraham says:

NE Minneapolis Crime Watch & Information states this child was found unharmed and Amber alert has been cancelled.

  4. Kate says:

They think we won’t notice they won’t hire a journalist and are just having someone feed us AP tidbits, in no order, with no detail. Hire a writer, pay them, then call yourself a news source.

  5. Sgt says:

    Kare11 isn’t much better

  6. Kevin says:

    More Immigrants please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. NavyVet says:

Where did this story report anything about immigrants? And he looks to be native, so I’m guessing you would most likely be the immigrant in this case!

      1. Toivo Twofeathers says:

The kid and another friend from the group home they lived in made up the story. There was no kidnapping, gun, adults, or vehicle.
