Minn. Couple On Motorcycle Collide With Deer In Wis.
OAK GROVE TOWNSHIP, Wis. (WCCO) -- A Minnesota couple is hospitalized after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a deer in Wisconsin.
The accident happened around 12:50 p.m. Sunday on Wisconsin Highway 35 near Oak Grove Township, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.
Investigators say 52-year-old Anthony Devito from Chaska, Minn. was driving his 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on Highway 35 when he hit a deer crossing the road.
The motorcycle left the road and ended up in the ditch where Devito was ejected.
Tanya Devito, 43, a passanger on the motorcycle, was also ejected when the bike ended up in the ditch.
Both were airlifted to Regions Hospital in St. Paul where Anthony Devito is listed in critical condition and Tanya Devito is listed in fair condition.
The Pierce County Sheriff's Department said the accident is still under investigation.
