2 Hospitalized After Serious Accident In Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two people are in the hospital after they were in a serious accident in Minneapolis early Tuesday morning.

Police said it appears that a car going northbound on Oakland Avenue South went through the intersection at 35th Street a little after 2 a.m. It hit two parked cars and pushed those cars into another vehicle.

Police said it's unclear if the first vehicle ran a stop sign.

Two people were transported to the hospital with what appeared to be serious injuries. Police said one of the victims is in critical condition at Hennepin County Medical Center.

Police have not given many details on the accident or the other victim, but they are investigating.
