Stolen SUV Crashes Into Convenience Store

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police say a stolen SUV crashed into a convenience store in Minneapolis early Tuesday.

According to police, the crash happened at Chicago Avenue and 32nd Street at about 4:30 a.m.

Police said they spotted the vehicle, which was stolen, coming north on Chicago and began to turn around to give pursuit.

No sooner had they done that than the SUV lost control, took out a power pole and crashed into a One Stop Convenience Store.

There were two people in the SUV. Both tried to run away. Police caught one of them, but the other escaped.

Police said no one was injured, but there was significant damage to both the vehicle and the store.
