Car Fire Blocks Traffic On Hwy 10 In Mounds View
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The west lanes of Highway 10 near Interstate 694 are open again after being closed down because of a vehicle fire in Mounds View, Minn.
MnDOT cameras showed a semi truck on fire in the westbound lanes around 6:30 a.m. The semi appeared to be the type that hauls cars to dealerships. There were seven vehicles on the trailer, five of which were damaged by the fire. Two of the vehicles sustained smoke and water damage.
Sparks and flames could be seen coming from the vehicle.
Traffic was backed-up in the westbound lane, but then turned around and detoured the other direction.
All lanes are clear after being closed for about an hour. The State Patrol says there were no injuries or citations issued.
