Farming Incident Kills Man In Mahnomen County

MAHNOMEN, Minn. (AP) -- An 82-year-old man was found dead between a tractor and a hay bailer on his farm in Mahnomen County in northwestern Minnesota.

The county sheriff's office reports that it received a call just before 10 p.m. Wednesday that Raynold Guenther was pinned under a tractor.

When emergency responders arrived at his farm, they found Guenther trapped between the rear fender of the tractor and a hay bailer. Guenther was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was unclear exactly how Guenther became trapped. His body was taken to the University of North Dakota's Forensic Pathology Department in Grand Forks, N.D., to determine the exact cause of death.
