Lightning Causes House Fire In Brooklyn Park

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities said lightning is to blame for a house fire that started in Brooklyn Park Friday morning.

The fire happened at a house on the 4100 block of 78th Court North in Brooklyn Park. Authorities said it was caused by a lightning strike to the gas main on the house.

The fire caused widespread damage to the house, but everyone inside the house got out safely and there were no injuries, according to fire officials.
