In The Face Of The NFL Lockout, Free Agents Train

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- While the lockout continues in the NFL with hopes of a deal on Monday, the undrafted free agents have no idea what is next.

Former Gopher quarterback Adam Weber currently finds himself in that group of players.

As of now, Weber is preparing for the upcoming football season, but he doesn't yet know for what team. He is working toward the unknown at Larry Fitzfgerald's football camp, a place that Weber says is helpful for him at this uncertain time.

"[The other players] are all very professional, and they are all very willing to help out," he said. "And that's the most beneficial thing for a guy like myself."

Weber throws to many players who are in a situation similar to his. However, there are some players in the camp in the midst of their NFL careers, and they are showing Weber what he needs to play at the highest level.

Weber brings a wealth of experience to the camp. After starting every game for four years in the Big 10, he's built a lot of statistics under his name. But all that football is now in his past, and he doesn't care much about where his future is, just so long that there is a future.

"I'm not going to be picky in this situation whatsoever," he said. "I just hope that a team is willing to give me a shot."
