Mpls. Home A Complete Loss After Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- An early Sunday morning fire has completely destroyed a Minneapolis home, leaving its seven occupants homeless.

Authorities received a call around 3 a.m. Sunday reporting that something in the living room of a home on the 3600 block of Aldrich Avenue had started on fire.

When officials arrived, fire was showing from all the windows on the first and second floors.

Firefighters had the fire extinguished quickly but the home is considered a complete loss due to the water and fire damage.

Seven people live in the home, though not all of them were home at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported in the incident.

The Minneapolis Arson Unit is investigating the cause of the fire. The Red Cross is currently assisting the family displaced by the fire.
