MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Maryland man drowned in a Maple Grove park pond Saturday evening, Hennepin County police said.
Police said a man, who was in his 30s, began to struggle in the Swim Pond at the Elm Creek Park Reserve when a lifeguard pulled him out of the water and began CPR.
When police arrived, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Maple Grove police and Three Rivers Park District officers responded to the incident.
The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the drowning.
