14-Year-Old Killed In Crash, 3 Other Kids Critical

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 14-year-old boy is dead and three other children are in critical condition after a SUV carrying a family of seven went off the road in Rock County. Police say none of the kids injured in the crash were wearing a seat belt.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2000 Dodge Durango was heading west on Interstate 90 near the Beaver Creek exit when it went off the road, into the ditch and hit an embankment of the County Road 6 bridge. The accident occurred around 4 a.m.

The vehicle was sent airborne until the roof hit a pillar of the bridge. The vehicle rolled and came to rest on its wheels.

Fourteen-year-old Daniel Davis was killed in the crash. Nine-year-old Cedric Davis, 7-year-old Seth Davis and 11-year-old Amena Davis are in critical condition. All are from Hubbardston, Mass.

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the crash.
