Minnesota Announces Non-Conference Schedule

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minnesota men's basketball team has released its non-conference schedule, which includes games against Southern California, DePaul and Virginia Tech.

The Gophers will host the Trojans on Dec. 3, the Hokies in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Nov. 30 and head to Orlando, Fla., for the Old Spice Classic. Their first game will be against DePaul in a field that also includes Indiana State and Texas Tech.

The season will kick off with a home exhibition game against Bemidji State on Nov. 1. The Gophers will play their first game of the season on Nov. 11 against Bucknell.

The Gophers have an open date to fill on Nov. 27 and still are determining whether they will play North Dakota State or South Dakota State on Nov. 22.
