Ex-Boyfriend Charged In Death Of MSU Student
MANKATO, Minn. (AP) -- A grand jury has returned first-degree murder charges against the ex-boyfriend of a Minnesota State University student who was fatally stabbed.
Nineteen-year-old Damone Christopher Williams-Tillman had previously been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Josselyn Bishop. The body of the 19-year-old Mankato student was found in an industrial area on July 8.
In Minnesota, only a grand jury can hand down a first-degree murder charge.
The Free Press says Williams-Tillman is accused of stabbing Bishop while they were discussing their prior relationship.
Williams-Tillman is facing five counts of first-degree murder, including one for premeditation.
