Body Found Under Pontoon Boat Near Winona
WINONA, Minn. (AP) -- The Winona County sheriff's officials say a body has been discovered in the Mississippi River south of Winona.
Chief Deputy Ron Ganrude tells Winona Radio News the body of a female was found under a pontoon boat at the Pay-Mor Campground along Highway 61 Sunday afternoon.
Ganrude said the Winona County Dive Rescue-Team was called to the scene. He says it appears the body had been in the water for some time.
