Twins Blog: Pint-Sized Slugger

By Melissa Martz

A couple of weeks ago, the Twins Blog got to meet a Twin Cities toddler with an incredible skill.

With no coaching from his parents, 2-year-old MJ Huss can imitate most of the Twins players' batting stances.

From Jim Thome's out-stretched bat pointing toward right center to Delmon Young's "bounce," MJ does it all.

When the Minnesota Twins found out what MJ could do, they invited him and his family to Target Field to watch batting practice and we got to tag along.

Capturing MJ's expressions as he met the team, especially his favorite player Michael Cuddyer, was my favorite part of the day.

Those moments are challenging for me because I just want to watch! Looking through a viewfinder and shooting video of what's going on and actually standing back and watching it are very different.

I did my best to capture MJ's reaction when he met all of his larger-than-life heroes.

With that in mind, I put together the video below of my favorite moments. We had so much great video of MJ that didn't make it into the two stories that we put together, we decided to share it with you. Enjoy!
