2 Who Drowned In Plymouth Swimming Pool Identified

PLYMOUTH (WCCO) -- Hennepin County authorities have identified the man and girl who drowned in a Plymouth swimming pool earlier this week.

According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, 9-year-old Mortres Kweta Dougba of Yeadon, Pa. and 26-year-old Moses Geely Sneh, Jr. of Plymouth drowned at an apartment complex in Plymouth on Monday.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

On the day of the incident, emergency crews were called to the Lancaster Village apartments, located on the 3000 block of Lancaster Lane North, just before 4:30 p.m.

Witnesses said Dougba was struggling in the pool when Sneh, Jr., a family friend, jumped in to help her. Instead of helping, however, the man also began to struggle.

A maintenance worker for the apartment complex pulled the two out of the water before emergency crews arrived. The girl's 14-year-old sister was also in the pool, but was not hurt.
