Vandals Smash Dozens Of Car Windows

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis Police say vandals smashed dozens of car windows Saturday night in south Minneapolis, but didn't steal anything.

Police say it appears it was done with a baseball bat between midnight and 1 a.m. overnight. Officers received reports that a total of 126 vehicles were vandalized.

The vandalism occurred over several blocks -- between the 2900 block and the 4300 block and between the 19th and 30th avenues south of Minneapolis.

According to police, the suspects were possibly two men in a pickup truck.

Authorities say it seems the vandals' intention wasn't to steal anything, but just to cause damage.

Police believe there are more vehicles that were damaged that haven't been reported yet. Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call police at 612-673-5703.
