Body Shop Owner Accused Of Assaulting Customer

WEST SALEM, Wis. (AP) -- The owner of a West Salem auto body shop is accused of sexually assaulting a customer whose vehicle he had just repaired.

Forty-six-year-old Robert Jacobson is charged with second-degree sexual assault in La Crosse County Circuit Court. A criminal complaint says the woman was in the bathroom at 1st Class Auto Body when Jacobson entered and assaulted her.

Jacobson, a registered sex offender, told investigators he did not have sexual contact with woman, and that she had offered to pay for repairs to her vehicle with sexual favors, which he says he declined. Investigators say they found cuts, bruises and swelling on the woman's back and arms.

WKBT-TV says Jacobson is being held in the La Crosse County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
