Police Investigate Suspicious Person In Savage Home

SAVAGE, Minn. (WCCO) – Police are investigating and parents in Savage are being urged to secure their homes and keep an extra eye on their children following a report of a suspicious person near the 4400 block of West 137th Street on Tuesday.

Savage Police received a report at about 12 p.m. that a child woke up the night before and saw an unknown person in their bedroom. Police learned that the screen window of the child's bedroom had been removed.

The incident comes one week after a resident in the same area told police a chair was found under the window of their child's bedroom and a window screen had been removed. Police said there was no evidence of entry into the room in that case.

Authorities said they don't have a description of the suspect at this time. Police are asking for the public's help as the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call Savage Police. Residents should call 911 immediately if they think suspicious activity is in progress.
