Man, 22, Charged With Allegedly Shooting At Cops
STILLWATER (WCCO) -- A 22-year-old man has been charged with allegedly shooting at police officers during a standoff at his St. Paul Park home, according to authorities.
On Friday, Nathan Adam Kluessendorf had his initial appearance in Washington County District Court. There, he was charged with three counts of first-degree attempted murder and three counts of first-degree assault for allegedly shooting at police officers in the early morning hours of Aug. 2, 2011.
"I am so gratified that no peace officer was injured and so proud of all the law enforcement officers' very professional response to this very dangerous incident," said County Attorney Pete Orput.
Kluessendorf's bail has been set at $1 million. His next court appearance is set for Sept. 22, 2011 at 9 a.m.
