Saberi's Father Delighted By Americans' Release

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The father of a North Dakota woman who was imprisoned in Iran for four months says he's delighted by Wednesday's release of two Americans held for two years.

Reza Saberi says he knows it was hard on family members as Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal languished in a Tehran prison. Saberi himself traveled to Iran in 2009 to seek his daughter Roxana's release.

Bauer and Fattal were freed on bail Wednesday after earlier being convicted of spying. The men have maintained their innocence, saying they may have mistakenly crossed the Iran border while on a hike.

Reza Saberi says he was in touch with the men's families throughout their ordeal to offer support.
