Survey: Minnesotans Dine Out Less Than Other States

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- According to a national survey on dining out, Minnesotans are a bunch of home bodies.

LivingSocial.com looked at 4,000 consumers in 20 U.S. cities. The website found that the national average for eating out is 4.8 meals eaten outside the home each week.

In Minnesota, people dine out about 3.5 times a week -- the least of anyone in the survey.

That's all in spite of the fact that the Twins Cities ranked as the 12th best "dining scene" in the nation.
