Man, 72, Killed In Washington County Fatal Accident

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 72-year-old man was killed Sunday morning after a crash in West Lakeland Township, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

The accident happened at about 10 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Stagecoach Trail and Hudson Road. Authorities said a vehicle traveling northbound on Stagecoach Road hit another vehicle that pulled out westbound on Hudson Road.

The driver of the westbound vehicle was extricated from the car and later transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where authorities said he later died. The driver of the other vehicle and a passenger in the victim's vehicle were also transported to Regions Hospital. Their conditions are not known at this time.

The 72-year-old man who died has not yet been identified pending notification of his family.

The accident remains under investigation. The Washington County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by Woodbury Police, Lower St. Croix Valley Fire, Bayport Fire, Lake Elmo Fire and Lakeview Ambulance.
