Body Discovered In Zumbro River Identified

ROCHESTER (WCCO) -- Police have released the identity of a woman who was found dead in the Zumbro River in downtown Rochester Sunday.

According to police, a preliminary autopsy confirmed the body's identity as 45-year-old Constance "Connie" Violet Barta of Rochester.

Police say Barta resided alone in an extended stay hotel near downtown Rochester. A search of her residence, as well as water way and river bank, showed no obvious signs of criminal activity.

Final autopsy reports, including toxicology reports, are pending.
