Wild Send Rookie Bulmer Back To Junior Club

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- The Minnesota Wild have reassigned rookie right wing Brett Bulmer to his junior club.

Bulmer was sent Monday to the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League. The native of British Columbia made his NHL debut with the Wild this month and registered three assists with a plus-one rating in nine games. The 19-year-old also had six penalty minutes.

Bulmer was the Wild's second-round draft pick last year. This season would've counted toward his three-year contract if he would've played in a 10th game. So the Wild sent him back to juniors so he can continue to develop.

Bulmer had 18 goals and 31 assists last season in 57 games for Kelowna. He also played in eight playoff games last season for the Wild's AHL affiliate, the Houston Aeros.
